Nucom Resources is in the process of appointing technical candidates in the Fibre Optic industry for Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Positions to be filled:
Certified Fibre Optic Technicians
– Technicians with a minimum of 1 year experience in splicing and dome joint preparation
– FOA certification
– Ability to use an OTDR and a VFL
– Read and interpret splicing diagrams and designs
– Daily reporting and updates
– Testing and recording dB levels
– A drivers license is an advantage
– Willingness to assist in other job functions
Outside Plant Project Specialists – Civils Foreman/Supervisors
– A minimum of 3 years experience in trenching, floating, cabling, ducting, and reinstatement.
– Read and interpret site layout designs and diagrams.
– The ability to do planning and reporting is essential.
– Following and enforce OHS procedures
– Code 8 Drivers license
– Problem solving and target driven
General assistance
– Any person with little experience on the above, who would like to be developed for a Fibre Optic career
– Willing to work hard and get dirty
– Attention to detail
